When I started working on my Black Templars years ago I wanted to stay consistence with the army bases as well as have a quick and simple way to do them. Today quick tutorial how I do them.
Stage 1a: Games workshop devlin mud on the base
Stage 1b: After drying - dry brush of karak stone
Stage 2a: Games workshop astrogranite in random places
Stage 2b: Nuln Oil wash over the astrogranite
Stage 2c: Dry brush the astrogranite with Longbeard grey
Finish: Steal Legion Drab on the trim & army painter tufts - Westland.
